I received an email recently from a lady called Kay.
She had a great question as she is starting out with regular workouts now using my martial fitness routines from my latest book it’s all about you.
Here’s what she wrote to me:
Hi Richard!
Thank you so much for the inspiring book, It’s all about you – http://www.rhmartialfitness.com/products
I am now getting stuck in with your routines in the book. I have to say they are more fun than I would have originally thought. Some of the pairs routines I really like and I will defiantly be getting my other half to workout with me more as its good for both of us.
As I am quite new to regular fitness, I was wondering how many times a week should I be looking to workout and how long for each time?
Kind Regards
Kay

RH:
Hello Kay,
Glad to hear you are getting stuck in with your routines and enjoying them. My answer to you would be as you are still getting use to the routines start off a couple of times a week working out then as you become more confident with the routines add another session in the week. Lot’s of people start off too much with a bang and then wear themselves out after the first month of working out then get put off. So start slow and look for a gradual process, its really about finding consistency then you will enjoy working out more and see great results.
Now with wanting to know how long should you work out for best results each time, you need to have a good look through the plan I have provided in my book and that will give you a great guideline to go by from beginner to advanced level. I would always say, look to workout out more intensely for a shorter amount of time rather than going on for to long working out. You only need a good 25-30 minutes workout, rather than over an hour. This saves you time and gets just as good or even better results with the exercises in It’s all about you.
Thank you for the email Kay and good luck with the workouts.
Well that’s it for this time.
Be well,
Richard Huntley
P.S. I get quite a lot of questions asked and I will always love to hear the feedback from everyone. If you have a question don’t hesitate to email me or twitter DM me and I will do my best to get back to you asap.
