It’s Time To Invest
So recently i have been speaking to a different people about the importance of looking after health by investing in ourselves.
The thing that i find crazy is that i see the opposite quite a lot. It baffles me to understand why someone wouldn’t want to look after their body.
We are only here on this wonderful planet for a short time so we have to make the most of it!
With this being said i know people that would rather look after their car than look after their body with washing and polishing it all the time. That’s fine looking after your car but the bad part is when we don’t bother to look after ourselves.
I think we sometimes forget that we can’t change and switch our bodies like we can switch a car and get a new one.
So basically what i am saying to you is invest in your health and wellbeing.
Now just so you totally understand… investing in yourself doesn’t always have to be by spending out a ton of money on expensive equipment and big gym fees, as you can keep fit at home or outside.
I actually know more people who keep in shape themselves than go to gyms all the time. Do you know why? Because after 12 weeks they have got feed up of jumping on a treadmill for 45 minutes to an hour and getting bored.
I just want to make it clear that investing your time is hugely important to getting in shape and most of all staying in shape. It’s just as important what you do with your time that counts as well.
A while back i had really been trying to perfect this certain through in martial arts. It was getting right on my nerves as every time i went to pull it off i failed and mess it up over and over again.
My dad at the time was in class, he pulled me to the side after the training session and said “Just go with the flow, don’t fight it!”
You see, what i was tending to do was force the success of perfectly executing a beautiful throw. I continued practicing in a more relaxed way and started to see improvements immediately.
Lesson learned, don’t put loads of pressure on yourself and invest time to get to where you want to be. This is in anything you want to do in life.
Overnight success is unlikely; putting the time to invest in yourself is extremely likely to succeed. In the end you can only get better! That’s how i tend to go by things now.
Well i can hear you already… “Rich that sounds great and i feel motivated but i have not a clue what to do.” Heres how to get started… i have plenty of free content sitting on my blog ready all you need to do is start putting it into practice.
It just needs that little bit of effort your side to meet me half way… then you will be right on track : )
Oh as well, don’t ever hesitate to email me if you need help. richard@rhmartialfitness.com I will always get back to you and do my best to help you out through my busy schedule.
