My Martial Fitness Interval training

Now basically what interval training means is to do an exercise for let’s say 30 seconds and then have a 10 second break.

Seems pretty easy right?

Well what i didn’t mention is that in those 30 seconds you need to give it your all and see how many repetitions you can get in, and then rest and repeat over again.

Remember that it’s good to keep switching up the exercises after each repetition set as it will work more areas of the body plus keeps things fresh and exciting.

So okay let me give you an example routine:

30 Seconds squat thrusts,
10 seconds rest
30 seconds pushups
10 seconds rest
30 seconds shadow sparring
10 seconds rest

Repeat 3 times and you will have around a 6 minute quick workout which will soon get you gasping for air if you are doing it correctly.

The beauty of this way in exercising is that you can increase the time and increase the intensity by putting lots of effort in or just 75%.

This method will also help you burn fat and get in great shape when you put in the effort.

I know lots of martial artists and athletes that use this type of method in their training so i know it works a treat.

This is a quick guide i have rustled up to show you reasons why you are struggling with losing weight.

So it is not that hard to figure out that all you need to do is the opposite to what i have listed and you will certainly succeed a ton more than you are right now.

Now i doubt that all of the reasons below apply to you but i’m sure a couple do.

What you need to do next is start fine tuning your lifestyle by switching these negative reasons into positive ones by taking action right away to start looking after your body as in the end we only have one.

It’s not like we can replace it with a new one when we want so we really need to take the time to look after our health for great longevity in this wonderful life of ours.


1. You think you’re eating healthy, but aren’t.


Just because you may intake foods and drinks that have the words diet on them doesn’t mean they are healthy. Actually a lot of the time they are full of artificial sweeteners and chemicals.


2. You’re not active enough.


One of the best ways to keep fit and enjoy life to be more active! Go on hikes and nature walks with the family is always a fun one. The basic principle with this is not to be lazy so walk more and move more.


3. You need to watch your carb intake.


Eating grains are okay in a moderation but the best form of cleans carbs is to stick with lovely fresh vegetables.
Just try and stay away from processed foods as it has hidden sugars/sweeteners.


4. You’re under too much stress


Stress equals a lot of the time emotional eating habits. The best way to release stress is to exercise more, this will keep you on a more even balanced lifestyle.


5. Your cardio training is not on point


Try not to spend hours working out on a treadmill a week. This will not be the best form of cardio training to do to lose weight plus it’s boring so you will give up eventually. What you need to try and adapt is interval training where you have short rests with fast repetitions.
This is lots more fun and works a treat.


6.Portion sizes are far too big


The main key with conquering this is to use the rule of eating until you are full. Don’t just eat for the sake of things, there is nothing worse than feeling bloated and stuffed.


7. To Many Excuses


This has to be one of the most important ones. Excuses are firing from everywhere, but if you want the best results you need to start cutting out the excuses and start thinking with the winning mindset.


8. Your mindset is not focused


You need to keep on track. Goals are a huge factor of succeeding, have you got yours? Have you wrote it down? If not start writing. This way you know where you are heading.


9. Not getting enough sleep


You should be looking at getting at least seven to eight hours of sleep a night. This let the body recover over night without releasing the fat storing hormones which occur with lack of sleep.

A healthy balance of good sleep will always be better for you in many ways.


10. You haven’t given it enough time.


All i can say for this last point is one word that lot’s of people find hard to take in… Patience.
It’s not going to happen over night, but just hang in there and enjoy the ride, you will succeed.
