I Would Rather Wrestle a Bear Than Give Up My Excuses

The lesson for today is you have to give up all your excuses if you want to succeed at anything you do in life. So i am not just talking about fitness and your health, but literally anything!

Nowadays there seems to be far too many excuses why you can’t do something rather than why you can.

Here is a list of some classic excuses off the top of my head

I’m too old
I’m too young
I don’t have enough money
I can’t today
Maybe next time
I’m not good enough
I don’t know how

If you are reading this right now and nodding your head to some of the excuses above, then now is the time to turn it around and give up those old excuses as let’s face it, in the end it doesn’t get you anywhere but unfulfilled.

Let’s take the first excuse i wrote at the top “I’m too old” well tell that to Fauja Singh who is a marathon runner, well he isn’t like the usual marathon runner, he’s 98 years old and ran the London marathon this year. (Quite inspiring i know!)

Another great example is my Samurai martial art’s teacher. When visiting him in Japan earlier this year he mentioned that age is just a number as he is in his late 60′s now but let me say that he is very fit and extremely flexible, but most of all he doesn’t let his age start disempowering him.

So let’s not be one of them who makes all the excuses any more. I wrote the title of this post i would rather wrestle a bear than give up my excuses because i wanted to get the attention for you to get the message across, plus it’s quite funny : )
