A question i had in a couple of days ago from a lady who wanted to learn a top fat burning exercise for thighs.
So i am going to share with you a great thigh exercise which only takes a few minutes to complete and it hits the thighs hard. (In a good way)
Quick Exercise For Thighs
Working the legs is important as it’s the foundation of our bodies. Check out a recent post i did on leg workouts for men and women.
Let’s now take a look at a quick thigh exercise for you to do at home or in a gym.
First you want to make sure you have a little space around you. Once you have your space, next position yourself into a lunge stance with one leg in front and one leg behind.(Check my recent leg workouts post to see how the lunge looks if you don’t know).
Once you have the lunge position you will next jump up and switch your legs around so you have the opposite legs in the position to when you first started.
So if you have the right leg at the back and left at the front for starting out, you will want to jump upwards and switch legs to right leg in front and left leg behind.
This is a on the spot exercise so you just need to stay in one place.
If you are new to these type of balance exercises, just take your time to get use to it.
You will wobble a little and may lose balance a bit, but the aim is to keep good clean form.
This exercise for the thighs works because you really have to push off with your legs to switch them over effectively.
The better you become at this exercise the higher you can jump. It’s also good to point out that when landing the jump, to make sure you bend your legs downwards just like a standard on the spot lunge.
30 Seconds Exercise For Thighs
You will want to make sure that you look to do this exercise continus for 30 seconds none stop, then have a 15-30 seconds break and continue on for round 2.
Trust me, this makes your legs work hard and they may ache a little but that’s only because you are actually working you legs harder than a casual none effective leg exercise.
I’m a big believer in mixing things up to keep your workouts fresh and exciting, so just add this little gem into a current leg workout you are doing.
