By now a lot of people would have already fallen off the band wagon of new years diets and how they are going to exercise hard all the time to get in shape for 2012.
So why do we see so many people fail to continue with their plans for the new year.
Well i’m sure there are a lot of reasons why, but one of the main reasons is not being specific enough about what you really want to achieve.
The Truth
No low fat diets needed here. It’s gone with the days of munching on celery sticks and starving yourself with hoping you lose weight.
I was only chatting to a close family friend of mine who has served in the army for years, about how eating fat has got a bad rap over the years.
But Its the right type of fats we need like, nuts, avocado and butter.
Throw out those margarine’s that say how they are low fat and how if you eat them you won’t die of heart problems.
Actually it could’nt be farther from the truth.
Eat butter every time over bad hydrogenated margarine’s full of rubbish.
Here’s what you need to do…
You need to start educating yourself for 2012 and do this by not listening to advertisers who sell the magic pill or potion.
It’s all about eating real natural good foods and knowing how to create great and tasty recipes.
Well as i’m on a roll with what you need to do this year i might as well add some more points onwhat you need and don’t need to do this year.
There is really no need to count calories like many fitness guys and girls tell you to do.
The problem you run into is that not all calories are the same in certain foods. So some foods have better nutritional value than others.
Moving away from the nutrition section and on to the exercise part.
Exercising The New You
I’ve always said it and i’ll say it again… the best workout machine you can use is your own body.
This means there is no real need to go out and buy the latest 2012 fitness gadget or machine that promises you big things but never delivers the results.
So the question is what type of exercise should we do if we want to lose weight and burn fat off our bodies?
More and more people are now reaping the benefits of metabolic conditioning training, where you really only need 20 minutes for a great rapid results workout.
It’s all about you training the the right type of intensity and resistance to achieve what we called the after burn effect.
What this means is you will be still burning calories even after you have finished your 20 minute workout.
How cool is that? Yeah i know pretty good if you ask me : )
It’s quite funny as over the past few years this style of exercising is slowly becoming more popular than ever, which is great but over the past few months i have been digging out some of my old martial art training manuals and workouts from some of my old mentors and coaches and see that this was the style of training they taught back in the day.
Lot’s of my competition training routines were also in this style of training as they really do get you fit and increase your stamina ability.
Now i know that burning fat off your body is great, but that’s just one of the main benefits of exercising and eating the right foods.
Having more energy and releasing stress when exercising correctly is also a big one for most people who adapt to a fit and healthy lifestyle.
So i think i’ve covered quite a few areas on what you need to do this year to have the best year ever with creating a new fit you.
