Ready to burn fat and tone those legs? Well let’s look at one of the top squat benefits exercise which you can do at home or at the gym.
There are so many variations of squats for you to choose from but i always stick to just a few a look at mastering them.
You see, if you try and learn all variations at once you won’t pick up the real squat benefits from any exercise.
So pick the ones you want to practice and train and stick to them, just like i mentioned in a recent article about why it is important to stay committed to your training.
I could list out lots of reasons why squats are great, but here’s a few to get you started.
Top Squat Benefits
No equipment needed
Yes that’s right, if you are on a budget and don’t want to spend out on costly gym equipment and the latest gadgets then this bodyweight exercise won’t let you down.
You Only need a little space
Have no big space to work out? Doesn’t matter with this exercise.
You literally only need a little space as you are standing upright so that’s another reason why this style of bodyweight exercising is so popular around the world.
Change up the pace of the squat
What i mean by this is to sometimes stay in the burn, and other times work at a higher pace in the squat.
Your thighs especially will be burning in no time when you use either one of these great methods of exercising.
Combo Squats
I love to use combination exercises that interlink with a smooth flowing motion, and you can do exactly that with the squat exercise.
For example: One of my favourite combo squat exercise is the sumo side kick squat, where you proceed with a sumo squat to a knee raise up and a power side kick out to then regaining position back into the sumo squat a continuing.
With the sumo squat position my old trainer would say that to get this position in the burn, you should be able to balance cups of water on each thigh and they shouldn’t fall out if you have it right.
And yes there where lots of spilt cups of water everywhere at the start : )
Overall this is a great exercise for burning fat and toning muscles, and i know lots of people who love to use the benefits of squats in their routines.
So there you have it. Some great tips on squat benefits and how to apply them for great results.
All the best,
