17 Things You Must Do To Burn Fat 24/7

Finding it hard to shift those pounds? Well this article is a MUST read for you. I’m going to walk you through my top 17 things you must do to burn fat all day.

Even if you use one or two great strategies from this article and immediately apply it, you will definitely reap the rewards achieving better fat loss.

The main reason why i wrote this article was to give you the steps needed to burn fat starting today.

I’ve split these effective steps down into three main sections which are smart nutrition, fat burning workouts and successful mindset for you to help achieve maximum results.

 

Smart Nutrition For Fat Loss

1.  Avoid bad carbs, but eat good carbs

Carbs have got a bad rep over the past years but here’s the thing.

Not all of them are that bad.

The worst type of high carb foods to look out for are the sugary ones, as they are full of junk that will mess your fat burning hormones up big time!

2. Low fat diets are not necessary, good fats are…

Another type of diet that was a big craze over the years to lose weight was low fat diets.

The only problem with this was not all fats are bad.

Things like butter, olive oil and nuts all have great needed fats in them.

Low fat diets just get you hungry, and not all fats are the same.

Just stay away from hydrogenated processed fats. You don’t want this in your healthy food plan.

3. Berries Are Great

If you want to know what fruits are best for fat loss, i would always go for berries.

Blackberries, blueberries, raspberries and strawberries are literally natures sweets to us, so these are a great little snack in the day to have while you are on the go.

4. Don’t Drink Your Weight On…

Studies have shown that sugary drinks are one of the main reasons for weight gain in the most obese countries.

I would always say drink water in place of sugary drinks and even the drinks that say no sugar added.

They have just replaced that sugar with sweeteners that aren’t great for your body at all.

I’m personally into organic green tea, which has tons of amazing health benefits about it, and i really got in to it while over training in Japan.

5. No Need for Dieting

To keep this one short and sweet, stay away from the latest greatest fad diet where people try to sell you some miracle food.

6. Typical Cardio Training isn’t Best

So what do i mean by “typical cardio”?

Well the main typical cardio exercises i see a lot of people do to try and lose those stubborn pounds are walking on treadmill for an hour, or pumping away on a cross trainer or using some type of stationary machine equipment.

If you really want to burn more fat you need to smarten up your training, and you will see what type of exercises you should be doing to burn more fat below.

7. Metabolic Conditioning is the Way

At the peak of my competing in martial arts competitions along with the other athletes we were all tweaking and testing the best methods to achieve the best workout results for us.

We needed natural explosive speed and power along with stamina and endurance.

This style of what’s called now “metabolic training” consists of combination resistance movements and done with just your own bodyweight is fine, so no equipment to boost your metabolism through the roof!

Let me tell you that you burn fat and tone muscle quick with this style training and that’s why me and the other martial art athletes trained like this for complete results.

8. No Need to Workout For Hours

If your main goal is to burn more fat off your body so that you can slide into those tight clothes easier you don’t need to workout for hours.

Like i mentioned before about having no need to go on a treadmill for an hour, because if you do the right kind of exercises to burn fat you would only need half of that time, and that’s doing the workout in a slower pace.

I sometimes just do a 10 minute power workout and trust me at a high intensity its tough! But what i did in those 10 minutes is more than lots of people do in an hour.

9. Getting Active is Key

On your days off from working out, you should still keep active through the entire week.

Smart choices like walking rather than driving to some where close, or taking the stairs rather than the lifts all the time.

If your like me and have a dog go run around and play ball with them. The only problem is my little cairn terrier doesn’t always play fair with giving the ball back : )

10. Keep Things Fresh For Better Results

Keeping your workouts fresh is more fun and exciting plus you won’t get bored with the same old workout.

So switch things up a little, and add some new routines to your workout. You will become more focused and keep progressing too.

11. Step it up Another Level, Progression is Key

We always must strive to improve ourselves. Progression is key for best results.

So how do we continue to progress?

You need to take a step up to the next level of difficultly if you are finding things to comfortable.

For example: Add a few more repetitions to your routine, or change the speed of motion per exercise.

There are lot’s of different ways to increase difficulty, but the main principle i’m saying is too always strive to improve.

 

The Successful Mindset

12. Vision is a Must

Before you even start your plan of achieving a new trim body, your need to create a vision.

This vision needs to be crystal clear of what you want to look and feel like once you have achieved your goal.

Once you have the vision and wrote down what you want to achieve by a certain date, you just got to take massive action.

13. Time to Believe in Yourself, You Can Do It

Look there is no better time time start taking action on achieving a better body than today.

Throw away all of negative doubts that have crept in over the years to hold you back from what you really want.

No one is holding you back but yourself.

Once you believe that you can do it, everything will come together and its only a matter of time before you get there.

14. Rewards Can Keep You Motivated

I always like to get my clients to reward themselves on their successes.

A great example would be a lady who told me that when she hits her goal size she wants to be she will go treat herself to a new pair of skinny jeans.

Treat yourself with something positive and related to what you are doing, just like the skinny jeans lady did.

15. Stick to Your Plan

The final step is to actually get a proven fat burning plan that works and simply stick to it.

Don’t question it every 5 minutes, but just take action on it and test the results.

Too many people put obstacles in their way with nibbling away at lots of different diet and workout methods but then they complain when no changes appear with their body.

You need to stick to your plan step by step along the way to gain results.

16. Momentum Rules

Once you get in the flow of things it is a lot easier to keep on track. But to get momentum you must start to get the ball rolling by taking action.

Doing something towards your goal is better than doing nothing.

Once the results start to come your way you will have the belief and confidence to understand that you can do it, and you can achieve your goal.

17.  Never Give Up Mindset

By 6 weeks into every new year, around 75% of people who have jumped on the new years get slim resolution wagon has already fallen off.

If you mess up a little on your journey to transforming your body, its your job to correct it.

Except it and move on, but stay back on track. To many people i see hitting an obstacle and giving up on the first hurdle.

The old japanese proverb is to fall down seven times and stand up eight.

So to achieve what you really want you must never ever give up.

Good Cardio Workouts At Home and Not So Good Ones…

I’m sure you want fat burning good cardio workouts at home don’t you?

Who doesn’t? But there are some that are better than others…

good cardio workouts at homeStill nowadays most big fitness corporations and media outlets insist that aerobic style of exercising is a great way of losing weight.

The martial fitness users use a more strategic metabolic approach of intervals and dynamic exercises that keep you burning calories throughout the day.

There has even been research for the Study of Obesity, with subjects aged 40 to 75 where they were instructed to do 60 minutes of aerobic exercise per day for 6 days per week for an entire year.

So considering you were doing that much exercise the weight loss results must
have been huge right?

I’m sure most would expect around 20 pounds or more lost of the period of time.

The results came back with an average weight loss for female subjects was only
4 pounds for the entire year, with the men losing 6.6 pounds of fat over the year.

Here are the take away points from this study.

Once you add up, that’s over 300 hours of aerobic exercise just to lose a measly 6 pounds of fat.

In my opinion this is not time well spent at all.

You will want and expect to get way better results than that, and so you should.

So what will work better?

You will want to stick with the exercising that give you the after burn effect.

I spoke about earlier with burning calories throughout the day even after you have finished your workout.

Overall you will workout less, lose tons more fat, build strength, and sculpt your body for better results.

So whatever you do, stay away from boring, ineffective cardio exercise workouts.

Exercises For Inner Thighs That Burns Fat Fast

In today’s post we are going to look at a few quick exercises for inner thighs that can be done at home or anywhere with a little space around you.

The thigh area is a common problem for a lot women so i knew this blog post will serve you all well.

So today i’m going to share with you a super combo exercise which interlinks two separate exercises into one power movement.

I like to do this a lot in my teachings and training as it shocked our bodies more into fat burning mode with burning more calories.

If your the type of person who has struggled with their weight over the years, you would have tried lot’s of different methods out their to get in shape and lose weight.

But here’s the thing…

What you should be looking for is the long term success.

So if you can literally take one or two steps in the right direction each week to getting the toned trimmed healthy body you will succeed.

You just need a little motivation along the way.

Combo Exercises For Inner Thighs

Now when most people want to lose fat off of their inner thigh, they need to realise that your thighs are going to become slimmer all around not just in one area.

But to be honest that’s a great thing to hear…

So here is the first exercise for your inner thighs, and i call it the “Sumo side kick!”

exercises for inner thighsSimilar to how the sumo wrestler squats down as seen in the picture to the right, you want to hold the squat down and then explode up to the side with firing the kick out.

When you do the side kick you want to try not to wobble all over the place.

And if you do it usually means you are kicking to high.

You will want to hit 15 out each side (left and right) and then rest and repeat again a couple of times.

What’s great about this exercise is that you can pick up the pace to work the cardio along with the resistance of the sumo squats.

Another plus side you will work your entire body doing this style workouts which i’m sure you’ll love compared to having to do lot’s of separate targeted exercises.

My clients love this one so make sure you give it a whirl.

The next part of the exercises for inner thighs isn’t really an exercise as such compared to the above one but is very important.

It’s actually a stretching exercise.

As you can see to the side it’s a real great targeted inner thigh stretch that will keep you loose and supple.

The key is to not stretch cold, as this will give you an injury.

Always stretch after the workout is complete and your body and muscles are at it’s warmest.

Achieving your Goals

Whatever your goals might be this year from losing weight to wanting more energy or just being able to walk up a flight of stairs without getting out of breathe, just understand that you can do it.

You are not alone. The information is out there just like on my blog here and people on my personal coaching programs.

All you need to do is set your goals and write the plan of how to get there and actually take 100% responsibility to committing to them physically and mentally.

A New Year A New You…

By now a lot of people would have already fallen off the band wagon of new years diets and how they are going to exercise hard all the time to get in shape for 2012.

So why do we see so many people fail to continue with their plans for the new year.

Well i’m sure there are a lot of reasons why, but one of the main reasons is not being specific enough about what you really want to achieve.

The Truth

No low fat diets needed here. It’s gone with the days of munching on celery sticks and starving yourself with hoping you lose weight.

I was only chatting to a close family friend of mine who has served in the army for years, about how eating fat has got a bad rap over the years.

But Its the right type of fats we need like, nuts, avocado and butter.

Throw out those margarine’s that say how they are low fat and how if you eat them you won’t die of heart problems.

Actually it could’nt be farther from the truth.

Eat butter every time over bad hydrogenated margarine’s full of rubbish.

Here’s what you need to do…

You need to start educating yourself for 2012 and do this by not listening to advertisers who sell the magic pill or potion.

It’s all about eating real natural good foods and knowing how to create great and tasty recipes.

Well as i’m on a roll with what you need to do this year i might as well add some more points onwhat you need and don’t need to do this year.

There is really no need to count calories like many fitness guys and girls tell you to do.

The problem you run into is that not all calories are the same in certain foods. So some foods have better nutritional value than others.

Moving away from the nutrition section and on to the exercise part.

Exercising The New You

I’ve always said it and i’ll say it again… the best workout machine you can use is your own body.

This means there is no real need to go out and buy the latest 2012 fitness gadget or machine that promises you big things but never delivers the results.

So the question is what type of exercise should we do if we want to lose weight and burn fat off our bodies?

More and more people are now reaping the benefits of metabolic conditioning training, where you really only need 20 minutes for a great rapid results workout.

It’s all about you training the the right type of intensity and resistance to achieve what we called the after burn effect.

What this means is you will be still burning calories even after you have finished your 20 minute workout.

How cool is that? Yeah i know pretty good if you ask me : )

It’s quite funny as over the past few years this style of exercising is slowly becoming more popular than ever, which is great but over the past few months i have been digging out some of my old martial art training manuals and workouts from some of my old mentors and coaches and see that this was the style of training they taught back in the day.

Lot’s of my competition training routines were also in this style of training as they really do get you fit and increase your stamina ability.

Now i know that burning fat off your body is great, but that’s just one of the main benefits of exercising and eating the right foods.

Having more energy and releasing stress when exercising correctly is also a big one for most people who adapt to a fit and healthy lifestyle.

So i think i’ve covered quite a few areas on what you need to do this year to have the best year ever with creating a new fit you.

Exercise Without Equipment – Get The Body You’ll Love

Yes you can get an amazing workout and exercise without equipment. I’m going to share a little story about how my methods is changing the way people are thinking about exercise.

There is a local lady i used to see rush off for her morning workout routine most days.

Last time i bumped into her she was saying how frustrated she was getting with her workouts.

Mainly because she was no where near losing the kind of weight she wanted to lose.

And here’s the thing.

When asking her what type of exercises she was doing in her hour long workout, it was soon clear for the reason why
the fat wasn’t coming off.

Here’s why…

She focused on the wrong type of exercises for real fatloss results.

Exercise Without Equipment vs Machines

Typical cardio machines are not enough to lose fat because they take up a lot of time and to be honest people don’t want to waste hours working out with getting little results.

It was a time for change and she needed to understand the methods and exercise without equipment.

So i shared some knowledge with her and put her through a few of my 10 minute routines.

I remember her saying you got to be joking with a 10 minute workout, right? And especially to exercise without equipment that she was conditioned to.

Well let’s just say she was shocked when the 10 minutes was up on my workout.

And now she understands it’s what you do with your time that counts.

Jumping Jacks Benefits – Why They Work

Bored of the same old cardio exercise routine? Well in today’s article you are going to discover the jumping jacks benefits to helping you get in the best shape of your life.

I know for a fact that people give up with exercising because of one thing they’re not losing weight and not seeing any results, plus they are getting bored with the same old typical cardio workout routine.

As you know by now I’m a real big fan of bodyweight exercises and today i’ll share with you the benefits of an exercise which is called jumping Jacks aka like star jumps.

So why jumping Jacks? Well it’s a good question, but most of all the reason why I like jumping jacks is you don’t need a lot of space and you don’t need to go to the gym and most of all you can do it any when and anywhere for a real great workout.

Look, the thing is you don’t need to spend hours working out on cardio machines at the gym to get a great fat burning workout.

What you really want to do is get your heart rate up and boost your metabolism with what I call my cardio conditioning training.

Jumping jacks are just one exercise which I like to do, and I mostly teach this to beginners because I feel everybody can do them.

They have that natural body movement which is great for a full body workout, and really I like to add these type of metabolic exercises in my workout routines and modify them.

A great example of what I call combo exercises are doing a standard jumping Jack then right after dropping down for a squat thrust to push up and backup to repeat the combo movement all over again.

Do you think you can burn more fun doing that type of combo exercise than on a average cardio machine?

Yes I’m sure you’re starting to think differently about your training already.

These type of exercises I like to do in set time intervals which basically means I will do the jumping jacks for 30 seconds and then when the 30 seconds is up I will then catch my breath and 15 seconds and repeat for around about 3 to 4 times depending what my workout looks like.

I guarantee if you start using these exercises at home you will see results.

The hardest part of doing any type of exercise is just started and once you get over that barrier of taking action you will be on a great momentum flow.

So there you have the jumping jacks benefits and remember if you are a newbie to exercise they are a perfect one for you, and if you are experienced I suggest you use my combo routines which I spoke about earlier.

How to Motivate Yourself to Exercise: Bust Your Exercise Rut

This is one of the main reasons why people are not succeeding in achieving their fatloss goals and i’ll explain in the article how to motivate yourself to exercise.

So first off you need to watch out for those crabs…

Well i don’t know if you have ever seen what happens when you have a load of crabs in a pot
and one tries to escape the pot?

I remember seeing this for one of the first times when i went crab fishing as a kid.

As the crabs are in the pot and one makes a move to escape, the other crabs literally climb up behind the escaping crab and pull it back down to where all the other crabs are.

This really got me thinking.

You see, what goals are you trying to achieve and what keeps pulling you back?

If it’s even just you telling yourself that ‘oh i’ll do it tomorrow ‘ but that’s a day set back from you achieving what you really want.

Any excuses and setbacks you or anyone else makes for you that don’t bring you closer to
achieving your goals, you need to get rid of.

It’s plainly put, but so true.

Compared to people who are going to support you just like in the private coaching area i hold, where you receive guidance and clearly set out workouts.

How to motivate yourself to exercise

So remember ditch the inner crab and the crabs around you that are holding you back, and take
action starting today.

Even if it’s just you writing out your goals for wanting to get in great shape again, losing x amount of pounds by a certain date, the will definitely motivate your to exercise, lose weight and tone up.

You then have something clearly to aim for and stay focused on.

Having flabby arms is one of the most annoying parts of the body, so that’s why ive put together todays post on exercises for flabby arms.

This is especially for the ladies who want to wear their sleeveless tops and don’t want to see a big bulging arm but rather a sleek lean and toned looking physique.

I know when i spaek to alot of the women around this time of the year coming up to the festive season they want to look their best in that little black dress, and the men want to look lean too. (I won’t forget you guys too)

So here is my exercise tips just for you today to achieve lean and toned arms.

Here is below the typical workout which you should be doing to really get those arms working hard and start to see results coming your way.

Plan your workout – the first tip is to plan your workout ahead of time.

This way you know exactly what you’re going to do. So many people tend to just shoot in the dark as I call it when you don’t really know what you are 100% doing.

To make life easier just plan out what you are going to do in the workout for the day and the week ahead.

Stick to the plan – the next step is to stick to the plan. And I know this sounds really simple but as simple as it really is so many people drop the ball on this one.

You need to have that tenacious attitude where you actually stick to the plan you have set so you can track your results and find what is working and what isn’t for you.

Never EVER give up – after you plan a workout you’ve stuck to the plan you’ll get a stage where you may feel like giving up because there are lots of distractions in your life or your busy with certain things.

At the end of the day you’re looking after your health and well-being so it is a priority to look after your body.

Whatever you do don’t ever give up on what you really want.

See results and continue – and lastly when you find what works best for you, the next stage is to be encouraged by the results coming your way and continue to enjoy your workouts and encourage others around you just like when you first set off on your workout transformation.

As you can see, once you have all of the pieces of the puzzle it’s just a matter of putting them together to achieve your goals.

If you are anything like me you love and good old pizza. But the only problem is you most pizzas out there on the market are full of complete rubbish that will definitely not help you with your fitness goals.

The good news is i am going to share with you a healthy pizza recipe that i regularly make and it won’t affect your weight loss goals at all.

I really don’t believe in strict calorie diets where you just go into starving mode all the time. So rather than just going hungry all the time which most famous diets in the past have you do, i prefer to just make some more smart food swap options.

So at the end of the day you just need to be smart about food options.

Ingredients For Healthy Pizza Recipe

Here is the tasty recipe for you.

-          1 Whole Wheat Pitta Bread

-          Tomato sauce (organic low sugar sauce) or make your own (tomatoes into a puree)

-          Clove of garlic

-          Basil

-          Chicken

-          Mozzarella cheese

The key with this great pizza is that it literally takes 5 minutes to prepare and its fun to make. You just need to base the pitta with the sauce, and then add the topping and finish with the cheese.

Now you have the recipe, you can always mix things up a little with the toppings. I have literally put the ingredients in order to start making this delicious pizza right away.

Whats The Best Time of Day to Exercise

Does it make a real difference on whats the best to of day to exercise? Well, i’m going to answer that in this post. But first let me tell you about my training.

This mornings workout for me was a sweat dripping muscle toning and most of all fat burning workout.

I get questions all the time on what what type of exercises do i recommend, and whats the best time of day to exercise.

Well if you take for example the great workout i had a this morning, i used Zero equipment.

This may surprise some people but for me this type of bodyweight workout will get you in the best shape of your life.

I’ve proved to you in the past that you don’t need an hour to achieve a great fat burning workout.

The question you are probably thinking to yourself is what type of no equipment exercises should you do?

Well let me give you an example of a typical martial abs workout

Each exercise for 30 seconds with 15 seconds rest in between, repeating the whole workout twice.

Star Jumps
Squat Thrusts
Leg switches
Snap Dragons
Rapid knee strikes
Lunge kicks

As you see there are a mixture of bodyweight exercises that can literally be done any when and anywhere.

Just like the last year when i got stuck in Japan because of the volcano ash cloud over Iceland, i still had my trusty workouts that i could do.

But that’s another story for another day.

What’s the best time of day to exercise

I think really it comes down to what works best for you. Some people i know love to train in the morning and some and night.

Aslong as you get your workout seesion in i don’t think there is a write on wrong answer.

But i will say that once you complete your workout training in the morning it does energise you for the day throughout.

What people love the most about martial abs is the way it helps you combat that stubborn fat in a fun energetic workout.

Plus it only takes half the time of other regular old workouts.
