How To Get Rid of Flabby Arms – Time To Get Motivated

This post is especially dedicated to the ladies who follow this blog, as i get the question often on how to get rid of flabby arms?

This is a troublesome spot for many people so today i’m going to help you tackle it in this article, along with a spark of motivation and what you need to do starting today to achieve your body transformation goals.

So below you will find two specific things you should be doing to tackle those annoying flabby arms. When i speak to most of the ladies out there, they want to tighten up the flabbiness and that’s what you will learn.

How To Get Rid of Flabby Arms

#1 Do the right type of targeted exercises: When i say targeted exercises i mean targeted exactly where you want to tighten up. So for this one being how to get rid of flabby arms, we would want to look at a specific targeted exercise that would tighten up the flabby loose arms.

For this i would go down the route of keeping it easy for you to get a few results first and build your confidence up gradually will the difficulty of the exercises.

how to get rid of flabby armsSo the exercise i would pick for today would be chair dips. You just need to make sure you have a good flat non slippery surface to put the chair on, and then place the arms and feet in position just like the picture shows you.

You then want to dip your arms and bum downwards and bending them and slowly to keep the arms engaging and then come back up. Keeping a good slow motion will really work those arms well.

#2 Eat Good Natural Foods: Just like when your mum, dad or grandparents use to get you to eat your vegetables because it will turn you into a superhero (well, that’s what they told me anyway:-) and to be honest they all meant well with it.

Don’t forget my one ingredient rule to go by in your every day diet. How many ingredients in a carrot? Exactly one. How about chicken? Yes your getting good at this now… one.

So if you use that simple rule for a majority of your every day diet you will reap the rewards.

Mindset Training 101

Okay so let’s add some mindset bits in here because i don’t just tell you exercises to do and let you do it like the others out there.

You need to learn the whole package not just bits, otherwise you will have some missing links.

Firstly you need to start telling yourself the right positive information it needs. My father is big on this and that’s what he taught me over the years about feeding your brain with the right kind of thoughts that’s going to keep you into a good state of mind.

Don’t listen to others. This is a biggie, and lot’s of people fall into the trap of listening to others and what they think about it. If it’s negative and none useful info just throw it out! You don’t need that on your journey to succeeding.

Time to get focused. If there is anything i could give you to help you succeed in your body transformation journey or in life generally it would have to be staying focused.

So many people start things and never follow through, and the reason why is that they are never fully aware and focused.

You need to have your goals set and your mindset on point if you want to really start shedding those pounds and getting in the best shape of your life.

Why I Prefer Quick Fat Burning Exercises For Men and Women At Home

Now here is a good point behind why i prefer quick fat burning exercises for men and women at home, rather than boring old slow ones.

I’m going to let you into my reasons why i don’t bother training or teaching long workouts.

You see, for the average guy or girl they don’t want to be an athlete, so they really don’t need to train and workout for hours on end.

When i trained for a martial arts competition i did lot’s of hours training a day. But that was because if i didn’t train hard all the time the other guys that i was facing in the contest would have an advantage on me.

Having good stamina and conditioning of the body is a must for all training athletes, but like i mentioned before it’s not everyone’s cup of tea to be an athlete, and that’s when it clicked for me helping train others.

It’s a long gone with the days of stepping on a treadmill for an hour, or any other type of machine. Personally i prefer and recommend you master lifting your own bodyweight, as it’s a total different game compared to regular weight training.

Bodyweight training really engages more muscles at a time than isolated weight training movements, but there is definitely room for both if you like to use the gym.

Here’s a quick question i get asked quite a bit… ” Hey Richard, can you really get in shape with just 10 minutes spare?”

My reply is absolutely. You just need to know what to do with your time, and that is what really counts. For example lot’s of guys want to get rid of the gut that’s been bothering them for years.

You will even see the guys with big muscles on the upper part of the body but a little pot belly hanging over.

Now a quick 10 minute workout is perfect for most women out there wanting to slide back into those slim jeans because it saves time and gets you the results you want.

Just like i said with the guys, make sure you get your diet on point, meaning eat whole natural foods and less processed sugary foods that’s going to spike your insulin levels and put you into fat building mode.

You need to be in fat burning mode which a quick rapid workout will boost your metabolism to burn fat throughout the day after your quick workout.

What you believe you will achieve

I got taught this saying many years ago by my father, and it’s stuck with me throughout my life. And now i’m passing this saying into your life.

If you don’t believe you can do something, the chances are you won’t do it. So start changing the way you think about things differently.

Lose the excuses why you can’t, and start saying why you can and why you will. “You just gotta get out there and do it!”

These are two great questions, and i think you will really benefit by applying action to both of my answers.

You see, it’s great reading my blog posts every week on how to get in the best shape of your life, but reading and doing are two different things.

If you haven’t started applying my methods yet, then what are you waiting for? Cut the excuses and just dive right in. You owe it to yourself and your health to take care of your body. (We only have one)

I personally feel cardio is a big part of weightloss. But this is where people miss the point. Cardio is important, but what’s more important is the right type of cardio exercises which will work best for you.

Notice how i said for you… This means find what works for you and stick with it.

How Much Cardio to Lose Weight?

First how much cardio workout in the week? For the average person who just wants to lose weight so they can get back into those tight jeans, or slim dress, you only need to workout around 3 times a week.

The next part of the question would be how long do my cardio sessions have to be? This is where i’m different to other teachings.

You don’t need to spend hours per workout unless you really want to. Most people i speak to don’t want to workout for hours, and to be honest i don’t.

I’m all about having a quick time cardio session. This means no longer than 15-20 minutes, as long as you are doing the correct type of exercises. That is what you will learn in the next part of this post.

Best Cardio to Lose Weight?

Best cardio to lose weightLastly we have the question of what’s the best type of cardio to lose weight. Like i mentioned before you really don’t need long boring workouts to burn fat effectively.

The type of cardio exercises i recommend you do is bodyweight ones. This means no equipment needed, no gym membership and you can exercise outdoors if you have the good weather. (A bit unpredictable with English weather)

A great example would be this blog post i did on the squat thrust. It’s a great starter exercise, but it does the trick.

I have tons of bodyweight exercises i have collected and created over the years of training in my secret log manual. I have put a large number of my best ab exercises on my martial abs program.If you haven’t got it then you are missing out on the most effective belly shrinking exercises around.

My Approach on Fitness

Recently i have been posting a lot of other routine exercises to do to keeping people in tip top shape.

Today’s post is different…

I’m going to let you into my thoughts on why bringing exercise into your life is a must.

You see, exercise should be like brushing your teeth in the morning. It should be a natural thing that we get use to.

You got to remember that we only have this one body, so we need to look after it and treat it well.

If we abuse it we pay the price, simple.

My simple easy to understand philosophy on fitness and my style which is martial fitness would be ‘what you put in you get out’.

If you do nothing you get nothing. Quite simple really so the best place to start with is just to do something.

It’s way better to do something than nothing, and with you making a start you can gradually build momentum.

Okay next… Let’s clear it up that the old excuse of you don’t have enough time to exercise is long gone.

Make time, as we all have the same 24hrs in the day. I’m working on a program right now which will be released over the next few months which will prove you don’t need a lot of time to workout.

You just need to know what to do with your time to get the best workout.

Developing the Mindset 101

I’m a big believer in the mindset training and with this you need to make sure you are taking the right information in for you to succeed in what you really want.

It all comes down to the momentum and flow…

Once you start to bring exercising into your life you will be in the zone.

What is the zone you might ask? Well the zone is where you are focused on what you want to achieve and you don’t let the negativity attract into your life, but rather live life with love and passion.

To be honest i think i have got your mind thinking by now about a few different things, so i will save a the rest for another post ‘My Approach on Fitness part 2‘ which i will post soon.



How To Work Lower Abs Effectively

This post today is all about how to work lower abs with some of my top tips to help you get some amazing results.

As you know by now if you have been following this my martial fitness blog for a while, you will see that my methods are no fluffing around on fancy machines or having to stick to a starvation diet plan that never works.

In the end it all comes down to lifestyle choices. Do you want to live on this planet watching your family grow up around you, not having worries about diabetes or high blood pressure.

Now is the time to start taking action

You know that in your deepest heart you owe it to your body to look after it and keep in shape. It wasn’t designed for sitting around eating junk food.

Yes it will be hard making the change, but that’s all part of the process of growing.

Think about this for a moment… you were not suddenly born on to this planet walking and talking. It takes time and effort to create these life skills and it’s just the same with anything new we start to learn in life. It gets tough. But the real key is how we handle those tough times…

Should we just throw in the towel every time things get tough?

So let’s look at how to work lower abs effectively

The lower abs tend to be a tough are to get flat and defined. I always suggest that if you want to see the abs you will need to get rid of the fat which is laying over the muscles.

To do this you will want to work on some high intensity cardio and conditioning, along with eating less junk and more nutrition.

For the guys reading this post right now i’m sure most will agree that they don’t want to have that bulky bodybuilder look, but rather the toned cut look, just like the pic of Bruce lee here.

The exercise that works wonders on the lower abs is the leg raises.

If your core body is weaker you can start by just alternating one leg lift after another while laying flat on your back. This way is great to get warmed up too.

Once you have a strong enough core you will build up to bringing both of your legs straight together upwards to the sky and back down without touching your feet on the ground.

You want to reach around 8-12 reps if you can. Then repeat another 2 times over for best results.

Get practicing as this is a great exercise on how to work lower abs and get them burning fast. Also you may want to look at my article i wrote on exercises for a flat belly too.

Remember what i said at the start of this post about how you owe it to yourself to take action and stay in shape.

What You Put In You Get Out (Success Factor)

Nowadays lots of people are struggling to meet their goals whether it’s through fitness or anything in life. I think in the end it comes down to how much effort and tenacity people have and how determined they are to achieve their goals.

Today’s post is all about what you put in you get out. This is where the problem lies, as most people don’t want to put the effort in and then they wonder why they haven’t achieved what they first set out to do.

Say for example if you want to lose 10lbs this month and you have planned out everything you have to do, sticking with the plan for the first two weeks but then for the last couple of weeks you slack and mess up your flow of motion you were previously in.

Staying with consistent flow of effort is where the golden nugget lies.

“It all comes down to your effort factor, and if you keep the energy flow topped up regularly the results will follow.”

Look it’s tough i know, and sometimes we all feel like asking ourselves is it worth it? The key is to hang in there! I can tell you now that the people who are achieving their goals are the ones that do not give up easily, and most of all they hang in there.

I have personally found this out with my training and teaching over the years, that without a little good old effort you will definitely struggle. If you stay laser focused on what you really want you will achieve it! As you will see in the rest of this post that effort factor is just one piece of the puzzle for your success.

I’m really proud to say that my Dad has just got his first book published. I know for sure he had put in loads of effort to create his work. In the end he put the effort in hand something great came out of it.

I want you to listen carefully… We now live in the year 2010 and opportunities are floating all around us every day. There are no excuses for you not to achieve the goal and desires you really want.

This to me is exciting as there are people waiting to help you achieve your goals just like I am helping people get and minds and bodies in the best shape of their lives.
