How To Get The Most Out Of your Workout

By Richard Huntley

Lots of people nowadays have been lifestyles, and even though how important exercising really is and how everybody should be doing some form of activity to keep their mind and body in shape, i have produced a few good key points on learning how to get the most out of your workout.

Up the pace

What i mean when saying up the pace is for example rather than long distance running or a long cardio session just steadily pacing along, start to introduce short sprints or short hill runs or on the spot do squat thrusts. But make sure you do them in sets of repetitions such as 4x 1 minute squat thrusts.
With upping the pace of your workout you will find that it will cut the time down a lot and get you the same or better results than doing a gradual pace for longer.

Mix it up a bit

Time to mix it up a bit with the routines and it makes sense to me. People get bored easily with doing the same robotic workout that they lose the interest quickly.
Also this surely does help you get the most out of your workout, for example try and mix the exercises throughout your workout so you are giving one specific area time to rest while you work the next part. It then turns into a full body workout, what more do you want! : )

Push yourself harder

To also get the most out of your workout a good tip is to increase the pace of your exercise like I mention before above, but only if it requires effectively doing so. Another good suggestion would be to add a set of repetitions to your workout to push yourself that little bit harder than usual to achieve the peak results you want. Remember though, do not over do it and push yourself to hard that an injury occurs. Understand the difference between discomfort and pain.

Create your plan

Finally the last way will be to make sure that you have written up some type of plan to work from. This will help you bring all of the above tips together and you understand what you will be doing before you even start your workout, which is a plus and saves you time trying to rack your brain of what to do next.
So get writing and start putting these pointers into practice.

Learn to put all of these points into practice and you will soon see a difference in getting the most out of your workout.

4 Ways To Add More Fun & Excitement To Workouts

By Richard Huntley

fun handstand
One of the reasons why people exercise less is because they find it a bit boring and more of a chore. If you get bored with working out there is not much hope that you will be seeing the results you wanted to achieve. So i have put together some ways to spice things up a little and get the excitement back into your workouts.

Listen to Music

Nowadays it is not hard to find the latest music from places such as iTunes for your iPod. Now I understand that listening to music while working out is not for everyone, but I do think that for people who enjoy listening to music is brilliant and it helps get them in the rhythm of things.

The more you enjoy exercising the better, so if you feel you would like to get some tunes going to spur you on while you exercise , go for it!

If i listen to music it tends usually to be for more on the cardio side of things such as jogging, jumps, bag work, shadow sparring. Anything really on the more active side of working out.

Invest in Some New Gear

You will be surprised how it helps lots of people feel more focused when they buy a new piece of gear, and you know why? It’s because they are investing in themselves. Now I am not saying to go out and buy a whole new wardrobe of gear! No not by any means, but more like down the lines of rewarding yourself with a new pair of suitable running trainer’s. In the end I feel it is a good encouragement because you know that you will be helping yourself to continue your path to a healthy fit lifestyle.

Variety is King

Variety is important and I have always said this because I see far too many people get easily put off exercising, because they are bored of doing the same old thing all the time. I do totally understand this and that’s why I feel it’s important to have a good variety of workouts to do to keep in good shape.

I would suggest maybe focusing on one or two areas at a time when working out if you want to mix things up a little. For example: Focusing on exercising for the abs one day and the next time stick to purely exercising the legs.

Stay Focused on the Feeling

You always need to remember how good exercising will make you feel. In the long run it will pay off and make you feel superb and you will be glad that you kept up the consistent effort of general exercise throughout your life.

People always say to me how exercising helps release stressed when they have had bad day at work. It clears the mind throughout and gives you a rinse out of negative energy and fresh start again. You see, it’s not all about how you look but about the most important thing of all… how you feel.

That’s why exercising in the morning helps set your day off to a great start and you continue that feeling throughout.

When you feel in the best shape of your life it is an amazing feeling.

Be Well,

Richard Huntley
